we recently had BTC fit a towbar & electrics to our Dodge 4x4 & we couldn't be happier.
I shopped all around the Yorkshire area & BTC gave me the best quote & It was on the doorstep (it pays to keep it local).
I also needed a trailer for camping & they sorted me out with a good priced fully serviced used one,which saved me having to trawl round looking for one.
So we drove out of there

Simon was very polite professional and knew exactly what he was doing and had us on the road for our holiday. I had 3 children with me as I am a foster carer and female they all waited very patiently in the car whilst Simon sorted out the Electrics. At one point we thought that we would not make it to our holiday destination. I would recommend Barnsley Tow Bars to anyone wanting a first class professional job and piece of mind knowing their car will not set on fire through faults of companies who are not professional or members of The Trailer Association. Had a towbar fitted to my Volvo XC 70 yesterday, what a Great Job by Friendly Guys who can’t do enough to help. I’ve been here a few times in the past and always got a top service. My towbar is a detachable and these guys showed me how it worked and made me feel like my money had been well spent.
I’m very Happy and I Recomend Barnsley Towbar Centre. I’m sure I’ll be back in the future.
Had a detachable tow bar fitted to my Range Rover Evoque today. The fitting is so neat and discreet that I had to look twice to see if it had actually been done.

This is the second time I have had a Westfalia swan neck tow bar fitted on a new car.I was fully satisfied with the first one and so when my wife let me buy another new car I had no hesitation in returning to the Tow bar centre. It was only a couple of days between making my first enquiry and having it fitted.I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good quality product at a competitive price

At the beginning of this year I joined the caravanning brigade and needed a towbar fitting to my Jaguar XK. I went on the internet and found the details of Barnsley Towbar Centre which I had heard of through a friend and was local to me.
I called into their premises at Stairfoot to discuss my towing requirements/options and to obtain a price for a towbar fitting to my car. I was happy with the information they provided and was impressed with how helpful and straightforward the staff were and I subsequently made an appointment to have my vehicle fitted with a towbar and electrics in March 2012. I was very pleased with the professionalism, advice they gave me and the subsequent service they provided.
I now have a Nissan Navara which needs a towbar. I looked up Barnsley Towbars on the internet again, so that I could obtain a price and discuss my towing requirements with them and was surprised to see that they now offered a mobile service, showing a listing as Barnsley Towbars Mobile Services.
I then called into their premises so that they could view the vehicle and provide me with information and prices on different options. I then asked about their mobile service, as I had seen it on the internet and was advised that all work is carried out at their business premises at Stairfoot and no mobile work is carried out by them.
I then arranged for my Navara to have towbar and electrics supplied and fitted by Barnsley Towbar Centre as I was pleased with the price and happy with the quality of work they have provided earlier in the year but did point out that internet search was misleading and if I had not called into their premises I would have engaged the wrong business to do the work.
I had a mobile fitter come to my home and spend nearly a whole day attempting to setup the electronics for my new towbar, what a waste of time and money. I took the Merc to Barnsley Towbar centre who rectified the problem and charged me half of what the “so called” mobile fitter did.
We called a mobile towbar fitting company who came out and fitted the towbar to our Volvo…what they failed to do was ensure correct linking into the wiring loom. Barnsley Towbar Centre advised me for free and put right what the mobile fitter could not do. Issued a certificate of fitting and Volvo then re-instated my warranty. Using the properly equipped professionals will save you time, money and a load of hassle!
When I was ringing round for quotes for having a tow bar fitted, the quality of the service and professionalism I received from BTC was way ahead of every other company I spoke too. I’m also happy to report that the quality if the fitting was also excellent.
Brilliant company that I cannot praise highly enough and would definitely recommend to others without hesitation

i would like to say a huge thank you to the guys at Barnsley towbar centre especially Simon who not only took loads of telephone calls from me to advise me on which cars can take a towbar when looking for a new car but I feel he went that extra mile to help me. The staff are polite, knowledgeable, helpful and very professional. The staff came in early to fit the towbar for me due to my hectic schedule.

The towbar I had fitted was detachable so I was shown how to use this correctly. I also needed a bike rack so I was advised on which one to get for my size and what I could manage. I found Simon to be honest and he was not trying to sell me the most expensive things which I find refreshing but what was best for me. I would definitely go back myself and I would recommend them as nothing is to much trouble for them. Great experience. Thanks guys.

We came all the way up from Cornwall, admittedly to visit relatives in the main, but decided to get the tow bar fitted up here where we had more choice. We chose BTC from their excellent reviews and we’re not disappointed! Fantastic job. Really neat bumper cut outs perfect tow bar specification and very professional service. We can only say thank you for a great job and recommend BTC to others. Well worth a trip!

My need for a towbar stemmed from an electric bike purchase just before Xmas and so by the time I had thought my options through the whole sector was closed for Xmas & New Year. I therefore needed quick service (prior to holiday) on the towbar identified but this in turn needed extra bits for the longer (XL) chassis – no problem as BTC held a stock of such bars but did ring the towbar manufacturer to ensure compatibility.
The towbar was fitted 2 days later and the fitting is so tidy you can hardly see the housing into which the detachable towbar fits – a great job.
We had travelled 50 miles from York for the fitting not withstanding there were closer fitters, but the initial phone contact was sufficient to persuade me it was in my interest to travel the extra distance and pleased I did.
Additionally, it is worth Mentioning that Ray, Michelle & Simon featured in an article in MMM magazine in July 2016 about choosing the correct towbar and fitting etc. – this too gave us loads of confidence of BTC ability.
Definitely can strongly recommend them for all things towing – they also have a great little shop selling consumables for caravanning + all bits related to towing.

No need to think about it, amazing customer service, help and advise. I had a realistic quote and after searching other outlets my wife and I decided to go with Towbar. One of my better decisions. I had a Towbar fitted and back rack, pricing as per quote and again lovely friendly staff and very knowledgeable advise on the right bike rack. Dropped car off in the morning, updated regularly and car and bike rack made up fitted and ready
